About this game
Race is a typing speed game in the style of TypeRacer and TypeRush. A short text with an interesting fact appears, you type it, and every correct letter brings your car or boat closer to the finish. Street races run on a city road, boat races out at sea.
After each race you see your place, WPM, accuracy and time, and you earn coins and XP. Spend coins in the garage on 10 cars and 6 boats, then pick their color and wheels. There are 22 achievements, a chart of your last 30 races and stats on the letters you miss most.
Frequently asked questions
How do I play?
Pick a race type (Street or Boats) and press Enter. After the 3-2-1 countdown, type the text. A wrong letter turns red and your vehicle stops until you fix it with Backspace. Whoever finishes the text first wins.
Who are the rivals?
Rivals are computer-controlled racers. Their speed adapts to your average WPM over the last 5 races: one is slower than you, one matches you, one is faster. New players start with an estimate of 25 WPM.
Does the vehicle change my speed?
No. All cars and boats are only for looks, and race speed depends only on how fast and accurately you type.
What is the tricky letters race?
The game tracks which letters and letter pairs you get wrong. The tricky letters race picks a text that is full of those letters, and if no text fits well, it builds a custom drill sentence from words.
How are WPM and accuracy calculated?
WPM means words per minute: the number of typed characters divided by 5, divided by the time in minutes. Accuracy is the share of correct key presses among all key presses.
Where are my results saved?
Coins, garage, achievements and stats are saved in this browser, no sign-up needed. They do not move to another device or browser automatically.
