Build a computer with your own hands

First you meet the CPU, motherboard, RAM, graphics card, drives and power supply. Then you learn what every port looks like and plug the right cable into the right connector. Next you assemble the case step by step, knowing the reason behind every move. Finally you build the computer with no hints and earn a certificate.

It works on a phone too: tap a part, then tap its place. Dragging parts on a computer or tablet is much more comfortable, though.

Mind static electricity

Before building a real computer, touch an unpainted metal part of the case to discharge static from your body. Hold parts by their edges.

Read the manual

Every motherboard has its own manual: which slots to use for memory, the F_PANEL pin layout and other important details are described right there.

Never force it

The right part slides into place easily. If something feels tight, stop and check its orientation: every connector has a key (notch).
